#2023-308700/East Precinct/Third Watch:
On 10-24-2023, at 19:16hrs, 911 received a call reporting a disturbance in which the suspect was in the victim’s apartment. The victim believed the suspect had a firearm. Officers contained the unit. HNT and SWAT arrived. HNT established communication with the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
#2023-308940/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 02:56hours, a dark colored sedan containing two unknown suspects bumped into the victim vehicle from behind causing minor damage. When the victim exited to exchange information, he was held at gunpoint and his vehicle was taken. Police were able to track the vehicle travelling southbound on I5 interstate until the area near Columbian Way South. However, the vehicle was not located.
#2023-308532/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 16:27hrs, suspects in a minivan type vehicle committed a series of strongarm robberies in the North Precinct area. At 16:27hrs reports came in of a victim assaulted and robbed of a cell phone in the 8200 block of Wallingford Avenue North. At about 16:35hrs another report about a victim who was robbed of their cell phone and other items about four blocks west of 8200 block of Wallingford Avenue North (2023-308545). At about 16:53hrs a caller reported her child was assaulted and robbed of their cell phone, in the 1400 block of Northeast 66th Street (2023-308565). Suspect and vehicle descriptions from all three robberies were similar. No weapons were reported. Not determined yet if all three cases were related.
#2023-309577/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
At 16:55hrs, officers were dispatched to a strong-arm robbery in the area of California Avenue Southwest and Southwest Dawson Street. The victim advised she was standing near a bus stop at California Avenue Southwest and Southwest Dawson Street, when an unknown suspect assaulted her. The victim sustained minor injuries from the assault. The suspect then grabbed the victim’s purse and got into a stolen brown KIA. The suspect fled the area in the vehicle. A short time later, officers observed the vehicle driving southbound on Delridge Way Southwest and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle eluded police and it was not reacquired.
#2023-309233/South Precinct/Second Watch:
At 11:02hrs, a male suspect assaulted the victim after a verbal altercation. As the victim attempted to leave, the known suspect fired shots at the victim. The victim sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The victim went to a nearby business where she called the police. Officers learned the suspect possessed multiple firearms and made threats to shoot police. HNT, SWAT and KCSO responded to assist in the execution of a search warrant. The suspect was not located, but multiple firearms were seized.
