#2023-315531/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1530 hours, officers responded to a robbery at California Avenue Southwest and Southwest Dawson Street. The victim advised that a male suspect walked inside the store and attempted to shoplift. The employee approached the suspect, and the suspect assaulted the victim. The suspect fled the area on foot heading southbound on California Avenue Southwest. Officers checked the area for the suspect but did not locate him. The victim had minor injuries and did not need medical attention.
#2023-315521/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1523 hours, a suspect walked into a grocery store and gathered up a shopping cart full of merchandise and proceeded to exit the store. When confronted by security who attempted to recover the property a physical fight ensued which involved the suspect biting a loss prevention officer. After being taken into custody the suspect was found to also have an outstanding felony warrant. The suspect was booked in KCJ.
