Robbery Detectives Arrest Two During Warrant Service 

SPD’s Robbery detectives locate a robbery suspect after investigating an incident that occurred in the Belltown neighborhood.  

Around 9:00 p.m. on September 18th, a woman was walking in the 2900 block of 2nd Avenue when she was held at gunpoint by two males. The 31-year-old victim was robbed of her purse and phone.  

Officers contacted the victim to acquire details of what happened and suspect information. There was a search conducted for the suspects involved but police did not locate them at the time.  

On November 2nd at approximately 5:00 a.m., SPD detectives with assistance from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU), Community Response Group (CRG), and SWAT, served a warrant at a residence in Federal Way.  

Police took into custody a 16-year-old male juvenile suspect, who was identified as one of the suspects in the Belltown robbery. He was booked into the King County Child and Family Justice Center for robbery.

During the investigation of the Belltown incident, Robbery detectives developed probable cause for an 18-year-old female who resided at the same location for crimes of identity theft and possession of stolen property. The female suspect was booked into King County Jail.  

While conducting the search of the residence, police found evidence believed to be linked to additional crimes. 

Robbery detectives continue their investigations with the new information obtained during this operation.
