#2023-343294/East Precinct/First Watch:

On 11-29-2023, at 04:30hrs, officers were dispatched to a shot fired call in the 100 block of 21st Avenue South. Officers conducted an extensive area check to find a collision scene involving a city sign only one block away. It has not yet been determined if it is related to the shooting incident. A few hours later, at approximately 08:30hrs, the 911 caller found spent cartridge cases. Officers collected evidence of the shooting. No property damage was observed.

#2023-343308/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 04:51hrs, a suspect had entered a community member’s vehicle which was parked in their driveway with the doors unlocked. The owner went to tell the suspect to exit his car when the suspect assaulted him. Police arrived to arrest the suspect. The suspect then assaulted an officer but was eventually taken into custody without further incident. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for investigation of assault.

#2023-343675/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 12:47hrs, a suspicious package was received in the mail. Officers responded and took custody of the package for further investigation.

#2023-343932/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:

At 16:42hrs, officers responded to a strong-arm robbery near the 2600 block of California Avenue Southwest. Loss prevention observed the suspect steal items from the store and the security guards confronted the suspect to retrieve the items back. The suspect then got into a physical altercation with the security guards and assaulted them. The suspect managed to get away from the guards and fled in a stolen white sedan. Officers checked the area but did not locate the suspect. SFD responded to the scene to treat those with injuries.

#2023-343954/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 17:06hrs, police responded to assist SFD with an encampment fire. The fire was quickly extinguished but not before causing significant damage to a nearby business. SFD Fire Marshal responded to the scene and requested SPD for a report.

#2023-344113/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 20:02hrs, a uniformed security guard was seated in his unmarked vehicle, in a parking lot just north of the Silver Cloud Inn, when his car was struck by gunfire. The security guard was uninjured and did not believe he was specifically targeted. Two other vehicles in the lot sustained bullet damage. Police collected evidence of the shooting and processed the scene.
