#2023-351545/South Precinct/First Watch:

At 0658 hours, Officers were called to the Seattle Municipal Tower for a man threatening employees with a knife. Police and HNT 1 responded quickly and located the suspect who was armed with the knife and refused to unarm himself. Officers developed a contact team and attempted dialogue. The suspect eventually dropped the knife and officers were able to safely take him into custody for felony harassment. The suspect also had a Department of Corrections Escape warrant.

#2023-351589/East Precinct/First Watch:

At 0755 hours, Officers worked with local businesses to assist in locating a violent, Felony Warrant suspect who has been known to frequent several establishments along the Broadway corridor. Security at a local grocer called 911 based on the police collaboration and reported the suspect was inside. Officers quickly arrived, executed a plan to safely apprehend the suspect. He was taken into custody without further incident. Suspect had made recent statements about a desire to kidnap and sexually assault woman and suicide by police threats.

#2023-351698/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 1018 hours, units responded to the 13000 Block of Aurora Avenue North regarding a 65-year-old endangered missing person that walked away in an unknown direction an hour prior. The subject was visiting from out of town and unfamiliar with the area. Multiple Officers and Community Service Officers responded and conducted an extensive area search. King County Search and Rescue was consulted and assisted with an alert. A Silver Alert was completed. Approximately three and a half hours later, Officers located the subject unharmed. Out of caution, the subject was transported to the hospital via AMR.      

#2023-351971/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1630 hours, UWPD requested, SPD assist with demonstration management at Red Square at University of Washington. A partial second watch task force was deployed. Several hours into the demonstration, more SPD officers also responded. No arrests were made.

#2023-352300/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2259 hours, Officers responded to a shots call located at the 5400 block of 30th Avenue Southwest. Officers checked the area and located a fired cartridge casing at the 2600 block of Southwest Brandon Street.
