#2023-371584/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0115 hours, Officers responded to the 1200 block of Southwest Holden Street, where multiple callers reported hearing what was described as machine gun fire. Shell casings from at least two different calibers of ammunition were found in the vicinity by officers upon their arrival. There were no suspects present. Multiple bullet holes were located in nearby residences. Officers checked these houses and verified that no one had been struck by gunfire. Officers collected evidence from the scene.
#2023-371875/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1112 hours, Officers along with CRT responded to a call of shots fired in the 1400 BLK of Broadway. Callers reported that 4-5 subjects were standing in a parking lot with one shooting a rifle. Police contacted the subjects and one suspect admitted to firing the weapon stating it was a BB gun and it was located inside the trunk of his vehicle. The suspect was transported to the East Precinct where he was released on his own recognizance and charged by officer for weapons in public places. Evidence was collected at the scene.
#2023-372425/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2030 hours, a woman called 911 after a car drove by and someone inside the vehicle fired a single shot towards her home in the 8100 block of 8 Avenue Southwest. Officers canvassed the area, finding neither victims nor property damage. Possible surveillance footage was located and entered into evidence, as was a single shell casing found at the scene. GVRU was contacted.
