Police are looking for a suspect after a man was stabbed Thursday morning in Capitol Hill.
Shortly before 2:00 a.m., officers responded to reports of a fight in the 100 block of Broadway East. Police arrived and located a 28-year-old male victim with a stab wound. The Seattle Fire Department arrived and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
Witnesses told officers the suspect randomly approached the victim with a stick and spewed racial epithets. A fight broke out and during the altercation, the suspect stabbed the victim. The suspect fled prior to police arrival.
A K9 unit responded to the scene, and officers tried to track the suspect but were unable locate him.
