(UPDATE) Detectives Investigate Juvenile Shot in Delridge Neighborhood

Seattle Police Department Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 15-year-old male as a homicide. The gun involved in the shooting has still not been located.

The Seattle Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed what happened or who may have information to call the SPD Violent Crimes Tip Line at (206) 233-5000.

Seattle Police Department Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a shooting that left a juvenile male fatally injured in a Delridge Neighborhood.

On Tuesday shortly before 1:30 p.m., 911 received reports of a male shot in the 2800 block of Southwest Thistle Street. Officers arrived and located staff rendering aid to a male with a gunshot wound. Police took over life saving measures until the Seattle Fire Department arrived. Despite life saving measures the juvenile succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.   

Homicide Unit detectives responded and are working to determine the circumstances of the shooting.
