Seattle Police detectives, along with federal law enforcement partners, seized more than 30 pounds of methamphetamine, and arrested two suspected drug traffickers during a narcotics operation Thursday in South Seattle.
For several months, Narcotics detectives with the Seattle Police Department have been coordinating a multi-agency investigation into a large drug trafficking organization. This drug trafficking organization operated along a large swath of the greater King County, South Snohomish County and North Pierce County regions. During the investigation, it was revealed much of narcotics distribution focused on the downtown core of Seattle and all throughout North Seattle.
On Thursday, officers arrested the brothers for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Officers executed a search warrant and located the methamphetamine in the suspect’s vehicle. The approximate street value of the seized narcotics is $120,000. An additional 408 grams of suspected heroin and $5500 in US Currency was recovered when officers executed a search warrant on the suspect’s residence.
The suspects were booked into King County Jail. These arrests highlight the continuing cooperation between the Seattle Police Department and its federal law enforcement partners to interdict illegal narcotics in our community.
