Seattle police have arrested a 44-year-old man after he fired several shots into the air and reportedly pointed a gun in the direction of at least two people.
Officers were called to the area of Harvard Avenue and East Pike Street at about 1:20 a.m. on Feb. 10. Once they arrived, they found the 44-year-old suspect with a handgun and a holster.
It was reported to police that the suspect was yelling, pulled the gun out in a nearby alley and fired several shots into the air, before pointing the gun at people. No one was hit by any rounds, but one victim said a round was fired in their direction.
In addition to recovering the handgun, Seattle police also found 9mm casings and possible damage to a nearby building.
Several witnesses identified the suspect as the man who had the gun and who had been firing shots in the area.
The suspect was booked in the King County Jail for two counts of assault.
