Police are investigating after a man was shot in the New Holly neighborhood Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 1:30 a.m., officers responded to several reports of shots fired and a vehicle speeding away near the intersection of South Holly Park Drive and Rockery Drive South.
Police arrived and located an abandoned vehicle pinned against a tree. The vehicle was riddled with bullet holes and more than a dozen shell casings were collected. After officers processed the scene for evidence, they learned an 18-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound was dropped off at Harborview Medical Center. The victim is in stable condition.
The exact circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown at this time and are under investigation. No suspects have been identified.
