#2024-077948/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0125 hours, officers responded to the 9000 block of 35th AVE SW to a single vehicle collision with a car on fire. Officers developed PC and arrested the driver for DUI. During the search, the suspect kicked an officer in the thigh. The suspect was declined by KCJ and transported back to HMC. Once at the hospital the suspect attempted to kick the police and spat. The Suspect was later booked into KCJ, for DUI and Assault.   

#2024-078604/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1700 hours, officers responded to a bank robbery in Greenwood where a note was used to demand money. The suspect made off with a small sum of money and fled the area. Officers responded to the area, but the suspect was not located. Robbery was notified and patrol officers processed the scene.

#2024-078536/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1540 hours, officers responded to an attempted bank robbery in the Magnolia area. The suspect used a note to demand money from the teller. The suspect was unsuccessful in retrieving money and left the area. Officers canvased the area but did not locate the suspect. Robbery was notified.

#2024-078708/North Precinct/Third Watch:

At 1914 hours, officers responded to a report of a robbery. The victim had just taken cash out of a bank atm when they were approached by two suspects from behind. One suspect produced a gun and demanded the victim’s money and phone which the victim handed over. Suspects attempted to get the victim to withdraw more money but due to language barrier, were unsuccessful. The suspects fled and tossed the victim’s phone which was later recovered. Area check for suspects was negative. Robbery notified.

#2024-079097/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

A man walking through Lincoln Park along the waterfront called 911 to report an SUV partially submerged in the water. When the police arrived, they located the vehicle, but no occupants were found. Kent Police attempted to speak with the registered owner but were unable to reach him by phone. The SUV was eventually dragged off the beach and towed from the park.
