Seattle Police are investigating after an adult male was shot in a drive-by shooting in the Brighton District.
At around 12:15 pm, 911 received calls reporting shots fired in the area of S Othello St and Rainier Ave S. Police found a 24-year-old male suffering from two gunshot wounds to the back.
The Seattle Fire Department arrived and provided medical aid to the victim. The male was transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
Officers determined that the male was shot by an unidentified suspect while he was standing near a parked vehicle. Following the shooting, the vehicle fled from the scene.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the involved vehicle or suspect. The scene was processed for evidence.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown and are under investigation. No suspect(s) has been identified.
