#2024-106548/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2100 hours, a victim called 911 reporting being assaulted by a random suspect. After assaulting him he continued following the victim and would not stop. East precinct officers were cross precinct dispatched and responded. They arrived and found the victim who pointed out the suspect. The suspect immediately approached and struck the officer without any warning. After a brief struggle and successful taser deployment the suspect was taken into custody. Suspect was arrested for assault on officer two times as well as the original assault on the random victim. Officers sustained minor injuries as well as the suspect.
#2024-106777/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0202 hours, officers were dispatched to a shots heard call in Holly Park. Officers located multiple shell casings. No victims, property damage, or suspects were located.
#2024-106826/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0328 hours, approximately 0330 hours, a victim called 911 to report that he was just shot at while driving his vehicle around Airport Wy S and S Lucille St. He quickly evaded the area and met with Southwest Officers in the Southwest Precinct, where a bullet was found to have penetrated his vehicle and come to a stop behind the driver’s seat. There were no injuries. The victim did not know why he was shot at, and there was no evidence to be recovered at the original scene. Evidence was collected.
#2024-106882/East Precinct/First Watch:
At 0600 hours, patrol was dispatched to support SFD at a residential fire. The investigation revealed the fire was intentionally set and a suspect was identified and arrested. ABS responded, and the suspect was booked for Arson 1st Degree.
