#2024-127647/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0014 hours, multiple callers reported hearing shots in the Rainier Beach area. Officers arrived and located multiple spent shell casings. No victims or property damage were located. The casings were photographed and collected as evidence.

#2024-127597/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2319 hours, officers were dispatched to the area of 6th Ave S / S Jackson St responding to a call of a person shot. Upon arrival officers were able to locate victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the right leg area. Victim relayed to officers that he was just walking down the street when he heard at least two or three gunshots being fired from a moving vehicle with one of the rounds hitting him in his leg area. Victim was treated for his injury at scene then transported to HMC where he received additional care for his injury.

#2024-127455/North Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2016 hours, Officers were dispatched to a DV Assault call in Nora Sector. Officers arrived on scene and attempted to contact and detain the suspect. The suspect immediately began to resist and assaulted an officer. Force was used to take the suspect into custody. Injured Officer transported to HMC for treatment. Subject medically declined from KCJ and is currently at HMC with a hospital guard. The suspect will be booked into KCJ once medically cleared for Assault 1, DV Felony Harassment. Chain of command notified.

#2024-127701/East Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0136 hours, officers responded to the intersection of E Pike St / Minor Av. A witness reported that they observed a suspect fire a handgun into the air and flee to a vehicle nearby. Officers located the suspect in the vehicle and took him into custody shortly after and recovered a firearm. Officers attempted to locate a scene but were unsuccessful, GVRU was notified of the incident.

#2024-127688/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At approx. 0119 hrs., Officers were dispatched to the 9200 block of Rainier Ave S to 911 reports of multiple gunshots being fired with additional callers reporting property damage. Officers were able to locate a spread-out scene of numerous spent shell casings along the foot trail in the area leading into the Lake Washington Apartment complex. An area search by on scene officers also yielded a handgun which was located lying on the parking lot of Planet Fitness adjacent foot trail. Additional search for person(s) involved met with negative results. GVRU detectives was notified and responded to scene.

#2024-127690/North Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0125 hrs., Officers were dispatched to the area of N 102 St / Aurora Ave N in response to multiple 911 reports of gunshots heard within the area. Upon arrival to the area, officers were able to locate multiple shell casings on the street. As officers were still processing the scene a female with a GSW was dropped off at Harbor View Medical center. Officers and Detectives responded to HMC where they made contact with the victim. She confirmed that she was shot while standing in the area of N 103 / Aurora by person(s) inside a vehicle. Victim was not able to identify the suspect. Investigations continues by GVRU.

#2024-127733/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0226 hrs., while near the 9000 block of Seward Park Ave S (on a different shooting call), Officers on-viewed gunshots being fired from within the Lake Washington Apartment complex. Officers immediately responded and were able to locate two subjects within the area. Upon approach and contact officers were able to recover a handgun on one of the subjects’ persons along with a second handgun that was located on the ground within reaching distance of the second subject. Both subjects were then placed into custody and transported to South Precinct where they were further processed. GVRU detectives responded to south precinct and assumed investigation.

#2024-127872/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1300 hours Protestors began gathering for the “Struggle for Palestine” demonstration in Westlake Park. The crowd in general was cooperative and peaceful. The crowd size grew to approximately 2500. The car and bike brigade were present for this demo. The crowd had a short march. A few individual protesters put stickers on private property, but no major damage was reported, and SPD was unable to identify the suspects. There were no disturbances and no arrests. POET, CRG, West Bikes, Traffic-lite and RDF were assigned to the event. SPOC was activated, and Captain stevens was the Incident Commander.

#2024-128009/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1145 hours, Officers were dispatched to a robbery incident at 12 Av S. and S. King St. Officers located the victim, who stated that he was there meeting a female friend and an unknown male that she was introducing. While meeting them, the victim had some cash in his hands that he was counting. The male suspect snatched the money from the victim and ran away with the female. The suspect pulled out a handgun and fired one shot at the victim when the victim was trying to follow them. The bullet grazed the victim’s right shoulder and struck a vacant building glass wall nearby. The injury was very minor. The suspect and the female are still at large. SPD Robbery Detective responded and interviewed the victim. Car 21 and PIO were advised.

#2024-128335/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1820 hours, am intoxicated suspect walked into a business claiming to be a Federal Agent. He then tried to order everyone out of the building saying there was a bomb in the building. The suspect also attempted to interact with some children, which led to parents escorting him to another area of the establishment away from the children. Probably fortunately for the suspect, Officers arrived and took him into custody without incident. Suspect was booked into KCJ for Investigation of Criminal Impersonation and Threats to Bomb or Injure Property.

#2024-128341/North Precinct/Second Watch:

Suspect was arrested for starting a fire in an occupied apartment. ABS responded and will conduct the follow-up.
