#2024-143381/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0006 hours, multiple callers reported hearing approximately five gunshots in the area of 17 Av Sw and Sw Barton St. Officers arrived and located five spent shell casings in an alley in that immediate area. There were no victims and no indication of any property damage. Officers combed the area for surveillance footage and witnesses. GVRU was contacted and the shell casings were photographed and then placed into evidence.
#2024-143457/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0327 hours, Officers responded to an alarm call located at the 4700 BLK of 44 Ave SW. The suspects were trying to remove a safe from inside the business. The suspects also stole power tools. The first officer on scene arrived and saw two suspect vehicles. A truck left the scene, and a second vehicle drove to a dead end. A suspect fled on foot and officers set up containment. K9 responded to the scene to conduct a track. The suspect that fled on foot wasn’t located.
#2024-143174/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 1700 hours a victim who resides in the North Pct. area reported being spat on in the 1400 block of 2nd AV on 5-21-24. The victim stated a passing female made disparaging remarks directed at him which he felt were due to his race. She then spat on him and left the area in an unknown direction. The suspect is at-large.
#2024-143702/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1213 hours, officers responded to a burglary call with a person outside who was also exposing themselves. Officers arrived and arrested the suspect for indecent exposure. While an officer was performing a search prior to transport the suspect attempted to bite the officer in her face while she checked the suspect’s bra. The officer narrowly avoided being bitten. The suspect was booked for indecent exposure and assault.
