Male Shot in South Seattle Encampment Dies From Injuries

A 61-year-old male that was shot three weeks ago in a South Seattle encampment underneath Interstate 5 has died from his injuries.

On May 17th at 12:03 p.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3300 block of Airport Way South and found a victim shot in the chest.

Seattle Police provided medical aid until the Seattle Fire Department arrived on scene and continued treatment. The male was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.

The victim was unable to provide a description of the suspect or the exact location of the crime scene. No suspects were taken into custody.

On June 5th, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Homicide Detectives have now taken lead on this case.
