#2024-157308/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0200 hours, officers responded to 2 Ave S and S Main St to reports of shots fired near the parking lot across from a nightclub. Officers arrived and located shell casings in the lot and the roads to the east. One handgun that was discarded at the scene was recovered. While at the scene, a victim with a single GSW to the leg was dropped off at HMC and is in stable condition. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remains under investigation. GVRU responded to the scene and HMC to assist with the investigation.
#2024-157440/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:
At 0700 hours, officers responded to a burglary and auto theft call located in the 2600 block of Southwest Holden Street. Police attempted to contact the suspect and he fled on foot. An officer followed and the suspect turned around, got in a fighting stance, and threw a punch at the officer. The officer blocked the punch and the suspect attempted to run away. The officer grabbed the suspect’s backpack and officers took the suspect to the ground and placed him in custody. The suspect was booked for Assault 3, Burglary, and Auto Theft. The suspect is also a suspect in a hit and run collision.
#2024-157498/East Precinct/First Watch:
At 0827 hours, SFD and SPD were called back to the 400 block of 10th Avenue. for a fire inside a residential building. The fire was large enough to set off the internal Sprinkler system, causing water damage inside the building on several floors. Staff advised that they observed a resident (suspect) inside one of the units watching the fire in a hypnotic state. Note this is the second time this has happened in the past ten hours involving the same suspect and unit. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident. 1-E responded to the scene and spoke with SFD Fire Marshal 5. ABS was notified and responded to the East Pct to interview the subject. Suspect was booked into KCJ.
#2024-157710/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1153 hours, officers responded to the report of three juveniles firing a weapon into a pond around the 10100 block of 32nd Place Southwest. Police located and detained two of the juveniles nearby. Shell casings and a loaded firearm were recovered. One juvenile was booked into the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center youth detention facility for unlawful possession. GVRU and Media were notified.
#2024-157629/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1050 hours, officers responded to a carjacking on Aurora Avenue North near the city limit. A firearm was displayed during the robbery. The victim initially traveled to Shoreline to report the incident before returning to Seattle to make the report resulting in a significant time delay. Neither the suspect nor the vehicle was located. Robbery Unit was notified.
#2024-157719/West Precinct/Second Watch:
The incident occurred at an apartment building in the 900 Block of South Jackson Street. The victim reported that the suspect brandished a firearm at him and threatened him. The suspect barricaded himself inside an apartment. HNT and SWAT responded to assist. After several hours, the suspect eventually surrendered to SWAT. The suspect was booked into KC Jail for Investigation of Harassment.
#2024-158159/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2044 hours, officers responded to the 3400 Block of South Juneau Street for reports of shots heard. Upon arriving officers located shell casings in the street. Neighbors reported seeing a disturbance between a male and a dark van with tinted windows before hearing the shots and all parties leaving the area. Police contacted multiple people in the area but did not locate any suspects. One witness was able to provide a suspect description and believed he had a handgun which he pointed at his own head and that he may be associated with a nearby unhoused encampment. No victims or property damage.
