Detectives investigate after a man was seriously injured after being shot in West Seattle’s High Point Neighborhood.
Wednesday shortly before 7:00 p.m., 911 received a report of a shooting in an apartment building located in the 6300 block of 34th Avenue Southwest.
Officers arrived and located a 26-year-old man in the hallway with a gunshot wound in his lower abdomen. Police provided aid until the Seattle Fire Department arrived. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Police searched the building and the man’s apartment, no additional victims were found, and no suspect has been identified.
Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives responded and are working to determine the circumstances that led up to shooting.
