Detectives investigating after a man was seriously injured after being shot in the Ballard neighborhood.
Monday at around 7:00 a.m., 911 Dispatch (CARE) received a report of a shooting in a parking lot at 14th Avenue Northwest and Northwest Market Street.
While investigating, a male was dropped off at the Swedish Medical Center Ballard, with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was later transported to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Police searched the parking lot and collected evidence, no additional victims were found, and no suspect has been identified.
Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives are working to determine the circumstances that led up to shooting.
