#2024-180553/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1135 hours, Officers responded to the location reference a shooting. Upon arrival, a single expended 9mm shell casing was located on the sidewalk. According to witnesses, the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal argument and the suspect fired a single round from an unknown handgun into the ground near the victim. The suspect and victim then separated and walked away. No property damage and no injuries were located, nor was the suspect located. Scene processed by patrol. GVRU notified.

At 1717 hours, Officers responded to the location reference a male that had jumped off an I-5 overpass. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive male laying on the southbound I-5 James Street off-ramp with serious fall injuries. SFD responded and rendered aid but was unable to save the subject and subject was pronounced deceased. WSP responded but declined to take primary. Officers processed the scene. Subject was transported to KCME by SFD.
