#2024-184818/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0039 hours, call received reporting a group of males assaulting patrons of the Union Seattle bar. The suspects reportedly waited outside the bar to confront the patrons and used homophobic language that suggested they had targeted the patrons for their perceived sexual orientation. The suspects fled the scene and were not located.
#2024-184948/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0355 hours, officers responded to the area of N 101 St and Aurora Ave N to report of shots fired. Officers arrived and located over 30 shell casings in the area as well as bullet strikes to several businesses. While on scene, a female victim walked into UW Medical center with a GSW to the leg. The victim described the incident as a shootout between two unknown opposing parties that she was caught in the middle of. The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation, and the victim is in stable condition. GVRU responded to the scene to assist in processing evidence.
#2024-185098/South Precinct/First Watch:
At 0847 hours, Units were dispatched to the 100 block of Interstate 99 in response to a report of a suicidal male. The subject exhibited a highly agitated demeanor and a deteriorating mental state, making threats to jump off a bridge in an attempt to commit suicide. Significant resources were deployed, including numerous patrol officers, the Hostage Negotiation Team (HNT), Seattle Fire Department (SFD), Washington State Patrol (WSP), and the Special Response Team (SRT). Both directions of Interstate 99 were closed for a substantial period to manage the incident safely. Incident Command was activated by unit 231 in collaboration with the WSP who took primary on the incident. After several hours of negotiation, the subject climbed under the bridge and remained on one of the bridge structures. He refused to leave the bridge until he was ready. Once the appropriate amount of WSP resources arrived, SPD was relieved from the scene. WSP handled the remainder of the incident.
#2024-185156/South Precinct/First Watch:
At 1016 hours, an SPD motorcycle officer was stopped for a red light at the intersection of S 277 St & NB SR 167 off ramp. A pickup truck driver who was dozing off behind the wheel, rear ended the motorcycle officer. The impact ejected the officer approximately 10 feet. Washington State Patrol arrived on scene to handle the collision investigation. The SPD officer was transported to Valley Medical Center and later released.
#2024-185373/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1502 hours, Officers were dispatched to an attempted burglary call in John sector. Officers arrived and detained the suspect. The suspect was initially compliant, but then she fled on foot. Officers caught the suspect and took her into custody. Suspect booked into KCJ for Attempted Burglary.
