#2024-210116/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0138 hours, Officers responded to the 7400 Block of Rainier Av S to investigate a dispatched call of a Vehicle vs Pole collision. The on-scene investigation determined the Victim was driving her vehicle SB on Rainier Av S with the Suspect in the front passenger seat. They were engaged in an ongoing argument which escalated to the point that the Suspect intentionally jerked the steering wheel causing the Victim to lose control of the vehicle and collide head on into a pole on the W side of Rainier Av S. A few minutes later, said pole fell into the SB lanes of Rainier Av S which resulted in a secondary collision (2024-210144). The Victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was screened at the scene by SFD and transported by AMR to a local hospital for further treatment. The Suspect was taken into custody for DV-Assault 2 and later booked into KCJ. DV Unit was notified.

#2024-210164/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0343 hours, several witnesses called 911 to report gunshots near 60 Ave SW/Alki Ave SW. Officers arrived and located 14 FCC’s, and 1 live 9mm round. All of the FCCs were 9mm. A witness stated that prior to the shooting she heard a possible disturbance in the alley and a male voice say hold on a couple of times. The witness stated that she then heard multiple gunshots. An unknown vehicle quickly drove from the scene. The area was canvassed for victims and evidence. The local hospitals were clear of any new GSW victims. PIO and GVRU were notified.

#2024-210709/South Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1526 hours, a distributer van was delivering and unloading product at a marijuana dispensary in the 5200 blk of ML King JR WY S. A vehicle pulled up which was occupied by multiple suspects. One of the male suspects got out of the vehicle and pointed a gun at the delivery driver. The suspect took several boxes of product and got back into the vehicle and left the area. The delivery driver did not think he was targeted and believed it was a crime of opportunity. No one was injured. The suspects were not located.

#2024-211053/North Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2224 hours, the caller reported to officers that while driving home, they observed a vehicle following them. The caller took an indirect way home and upon reaching their house, noticed the suspect vehicle in front of their house. The suspect exited their vehicle from the passenger side and fired several shots toward the victim. The suspect got back into the vehicle which then drove off. The victim was not injured. The victim’s vehicle was struck by the fired rounds. Patrol responded and processed the scene.

#2024-21989/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2058 hours, numerous callers called 911 stating a male was running through their back yards. The male suspect was confronted by several residents while trespassing in the back yards. At one point, he grabbed onto a piece of wood and used it to pry open a gate into another back yard. At one residence, he smashed in the back slider door and attempted to gain entry but was stopped by occupants of the house pushing back against the screen door. At another residence, he again smashed the back slider door and was “maced” by the occupants. The suspect was able to gain entry into that residence, but then quickly left into the back yard again. When officers arrived, they heard glass breaking and located him in the back yard of a residence. The suspect fled on foot through several yards and was subsequently detained after fleeing towards the front of a house. The suspect did extensive property damage to numerous residences.

#2024-210539/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1224 hours, Officers were dispatched to a report of a shooting near the S Dearborn St and 10 Av S homeless encampment. Upon arrival Officers located a victim with a gunshot wound to his leg. First aid provided by Officers until SFD arrived and transported the victim to the hospital. Robbery Detectives interviewed the victim at the hospital, and he reported that he went into the encampment to purchase narcotics. While doing so an unknown B/M fired one round striking him in the leg. The suspect then took the victim’s wallet, cash and ID. Evidence from the scene was collected and a search for the suspect was negative. Robbery will conduct the follow up on this investigation.
