Police Arrest Armed Suspects, Stolen Vehicle, Stolen Firearms Recovered

Seattle Police arrested two armed suspects, recovered a stolen vehicle, and two stolen firearms in South Seattle last Friday.

On July 26th at 2:08 p.m., a patrol officer observed multiple men trafficking suspected stolen property from a stolen vehicle in the 2800 block of Rainier Avenue South. Police tracked the suspects to a nearby business and placed them into custody. Two of them were armed with handguns during their arrest.

The first suspect, 30, was arrested for Taking a Motor Vehicle Without Permission, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Trafficking in Stolen Property.

The second suspect, 35, was arrested for Taking a Motor Vehicle Without Permission, felony warrants for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Trafficking in Stolen Property. Additional charges were requested for Making or Having Burglary Tools, Making or Possessing Motor Vehicle Theft Tools.

The third suspect, 29, was arrested for Trafficking in Stolen Property, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and Possessing a Stolen Firearm. Additional charges were requested for Making or Possessing Motor Vehicle Theft Tools.

Police recovered two stolen firearms, fentanyl pills, shaved vehicle keys, drug paraphernalia, burglary tools, and the stolen vehicle. Multiple items of suspected stolen property were also recovered.

All three suspects were booked into King County Jail.

Detectives in the felony General Investigations Unit have been assigned to this case. Additional charges may be applied as they complete their investigation.
