#2024-212314/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0228 hours, Officers responded to a burglary at a marijuana dispensary. The 5 original suspects used a stolen car to smash through the front window and security barrier. The 5 suspects entered the store, stole product, and fled in a white sedan. Before Officers arrived, 4 previously uninvolved suspects entered the dispensary to steal product. Officers arrived and took 2 suspects into custody that fled on foot and located the other 2 suspects inside. 4 suspects were all taken to KCJ for booking, with mixed results.
#2024-212498/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0854 hours, SPD Officers responded to a suicidal person in the West Precinct area. Upon arrival, officers determined the subject had met ITA criteria. Officers requested additional units since the subject made threats to assault the officers. Additional units arrived to assist, as well as AMR. The subject became combative when he learned he was going to the hospital. Due to the subject’s action, the officers restrained the subject and escorted him to a gurney. Once on the gurney, the subject headbutted the officer’s chest twice, causing transient pain to the officer’s chest. Subsequently, the subject was transported and booked into the King County Jail for Assault 3rd Degree. Hazard was completed for the subject. 212 was screened of the incident.
#2024-212397/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0645 hours, SPD Officers responded to a trespass in the West Precinct area. Upon arrival, the officers contacted the building manager and developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for trespassing. The officer was escorting the suspect outside the building when he refused to walk and decided to run back into the building. The officer had to restrain the suspect, but he refused to follow the officers’ orders. Additional units arrived at the scene to restrain the suspect. AMR responded to the scene to transport the suspect from the scene to the King County Jail due to the suspect’s combative behaviors.
#2024-212622/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1057 hours, two suspects entered Lululemon in University Village and stole $8k-$10k (estimate only) of merchandise and left the store. Officers located the suspects south into the downtown core of West Precinct. West units from Mary, Queen, and King sectors volunteered to assist Union officers. One suspect was captured in the 1500 block of 3rd Ave with some merchandise, and the second suspect was tracked to an underground hotel garage. Suspect booked on Organized Retail Theft 1st-Degree.
#2024-212728/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1400 hours, police learned disruptions were being planned for today’s City Council Public Safety Commission meeting regarding contracting with SCORE. CRG, West Bikes, SAT, POET and a Prisoner Van from 2nd Watch West were assigned to the event. The meeting began at 1400. There were no disruptions nor disturbances. Assigned units were returned to their normal duties.
#2024-213017/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1702 hours, officers were dispatched to a stabbing call in Nora sector. Upon arrival the victim stated to officers that the suspect threw a knife at him, cutting his forearm. The suspect was located a few blocks north of the incident location and detained. He was positively identified as the suspect who assaulted the victim. He was placed under arrest and booked into King County Jail. The victim was transported to NW Hospital where he is in stable condition.
#2024-213103/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 1855 hours, Officers responded to the 4400 BLK of 35 Ave SW for a female stumbling around, disoriented, and with significant injuries. Officers contacted the subject and she had bruising and swelling on her face and head. The subject was rambling different things, and didn’t even know the severity of her injuries. Officers didn’t locate a crime scene. Homicide was notified.
#2024-213318/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2313 hours, several callers reported hearing shots at the 5400 BLK of 30 Ave SW. Officers arrived and located FCCs (fired cartridge casings) at 29 Ave SW/SW Brandon St. Officers located four 9mm FCCs. The FCCs were submitted to evidence.
#2024-213297/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2247 hours, a scooter rider traveling at a high rate-of-speed entered an intersection, against a red light, lost control, fell under a moving bus, and collided with the rear wheel. The bus did not appear to notice the collision and continued driving. The scooter rider was transported to HMC, by Medic one, in critical condition.
