#2024-236377/North Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0016 hours, two unknown suspects dressed in construction clothes walked into a gas station in the 200 block of Northeast 45th Street. They told the employee on duty they were there to replace the ATM machine and brought in a dolly. When the employee advised he’d need to notify his boss, the suspects quickly cut the power cord to the ATM, wheeled it outside and loaded it into a silver van. A firearm was brandished at the employee when he followed the suspects out to their vehicle. The incident lasted a matter of minutes. The dolly was left behind and submitted as evidence.

#2024-236477/North Precinct/First Watch:

At 0535 hours, 911 Dispatch received calls regarding two vehicles ripping a gate off of a business with a chain in the 400 Block of NE 71 Street. On arrival, officers discovered a section of the exterior wall of the business had been torn down in an attempt to remove the safe. The suspects were not successful. While fleeing the scene, the suspect vehicle struck a total of 14 vehicles as it traveled east. The suspects and vehicles are still outstanding.  

#2024-236478/Southwest Precinct/First Watch:

At 0507 hours, officers contacted the victim of an armed robbery that occurred approximately 1 hour prior. The victim stated he was inside his vehicle at a park when he was approached. The suspect gained his attention to exit the vehicle when another suspect hit him over the head from behind. The victim stated he was held at knife point and the suspect took his cell phone and wife’s wallet. Police requested the victim to attempt to log into the find my phone app and officers were able to track the location of the phone. The vehicle became stationery and officers in the area were able to detain one of the suspects. The suspect was positively identified. The contents of the victim’s wife’s wallet were located on the suspect and the cell phone could be heard from a vehicle. The suspect was arrested and booked into KCJ. The vehicle was transported to the VPR at the request of robbery. Incident was screened with Robbery Unit.

#2024-237071/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 1545 hours, a suspect walked into a store in the 7500 block 35th Avenue Southwest and caused a disturbance. When the manager told him to leave the suspect grabbed sunglasses from the display and walked out. The manager confronted the suspect and told him to return the property. The suspect lunged at the manager and threatened to shoot him before fleeing the area. Officers arrived in the area and located the suspect a few blocks away wearing the stolen property. The suspect was detained, a positive ID was made, and the subject was taken into custody without issue. He was later booked into KCJ.

#2024-237072/South Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1546 hours, multiple victims reported be threatened and chased by a half-naked woman with a knife in the 4200 block of 37th Avenue South. She also slashed multiple tires, broke neighboring windows and windshields. She fled into a vacant house and was eventually safely talked out of the house by HNT and placed under arrest without injury or further incident.
