Seattle police officers arrested a seven-time convicted felon exiting a stolen vehicle while armed with a gun and resisting arrest in North Seattle Sunday afternoon.
On September 29th at 12:52 p.m., patrol officers located an occupied stolen vehicle in the 7100 block of Northeast 62nd Street near Magnuson Park. Police approached the suspect after he exited the vehicle.
The man violently resisted arrest while armed with a loaded Glock handgun. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle. Officers recovered the firearm from the scene.
The 42-year-old suspect was booked into King County Jail for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Resisting Arrest, Dangerous Weapons, a Violation of the Uniformed Substances Act, a warrant for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Unlawful Possession of Firearm, and $57,000 in additional misdemeanor and felony warrants.
Police also recovered the stolen vehicle, multiple knives, suspected stolen bank and identification cards, and 1.9 grams of methamphetamine.
Detectives with the General Investigations Unit were assigned to this case.
