#2024-294443/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0013 hours, Officers were dispatched to a report of a male firing a gun in an apartment building. Police arrived on scene and located a witness and the suspect. Probable cause was developed to arrest the suspect for Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm. The suspect was arrested and booked into KCJ without incident. Officers later recovered firearms and ammunition from the apartment.
#2024-294982/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 1318 hours, 911 received a report from a victim of a robbery. The suspect was described as a male, late 20’s, tattoos on his face armed with a knife. Multiple units including the ART team and Officers from the East Precinct responded to the call. The suspect was located in a parking lot on S Jackson St. When the police approached him, he took off running, he was ordered to stop but disobeyed Officers orders. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended. A firearm was located on the suspect as well as some of the victim’s belongings. An officer was injured during the foot pursuit and taken to the hospital. The suspect sustained an injury and was taken to the hospital and later booked into KCJ.
#2024-295394/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2025 hours, Officers responded to a shots fired call near the intersection of Rainier Av S/Seward Park Av S. While officers were arriving, the victim called in and stated that his vehicle was hit by rounds, and he was waiting at a near-by parking lot. Police located approximately shell casings. Multiple vehicles and a building were struck by bullets. No one was injured during the incident.
#2024-295479/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2328 hours, Officers were dispatched to a shots call in the Rainier Valley. Police arrived and located a two-vehicle collision. The driver of one of the vehicles was transported to the hospital in stable condition and the other driver fled the scene prior to officers arriving. Officers located two spent casings in the street. No shooting victims or related property damage was located.
