#2024-301049/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 1900 hours, SPD Human Trafficking unit conducted an arrest operation in the 12500 block of Aurora AVE N. With the assistance of Officers from the West and East Precincts and Detectives from SAU, ICAC, Robbery, and Homicide, six arrests were made throughout the night. The six suspects were all arrested for patronizing a prostitute and transported to the North Precinct where they were processed and released.
#2024-301500/West Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0136 hours, West Precinct Patrol Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Fairview AV N/Denny WY to investigate an armed carjacking. When Officers arrived, they contacted the victim and learned that the suspects appeared to arrive in a separate vehicle which they exited, then approached him on foot and at gunpoint stole his vehicle. Officers were able to contact Mercedes and obtain tracking for the vehicle. The Vehicle tracked outside of the city. Permission was sought for and granted by 223 to leave Seattle and attempt to locate the vehicle. Officers eventually tracked the vehicle to a gas station at East Valley Highway/S 180 St in Kent. Officers attempted to contact the suspects; however, they fled. A brief pursuit was initiated, however the vehicle turned off its lights and exceeded 100 MPH and the pursuit was terminated. Officers continued to track the vehicle via assistance rendered by Mercedes, and eventually located the vehicle wrecked at 10 AV S/S Elmgrove St in Seattle. The vehicle was unoccupied, and a K9 track was initiated. The suspects were not located. The vehicle was taken to the VPR with a hold for Robbery.
#2024-301590/South Precinct/First Watch:
At 0600 hours, Officer on-viewed a male holding a pole walking in the parking lot of a Shell gas station. When the officer turned his patrol vehicle around, there were multiple people in the parking lot holding poles and sticks. Once the scene was safe, primary officer found out suspect was not happy that the employee did not sell him alcohol at 0530. Suspect went back and grabbed a metal pole and began to hit the victim vehicle causing damage to the back window and denting the back of the vehicle. When suspect was being read his Miranda Rights, he began to yell profanity and racial bias remarks to the victim who is Middle Eastern Decent. The suspect would not stop calling the victim racial slurs and then made threats to the victim. Suspect was booked into King County Jail. 251 was called and screened the incident.
#2024-302028/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1324 hours, Officers responded to a Strong-Arm Robbery at 1400 block of John St. The victim who works as the loss prevention officer for Safeway, advised that he observed the suspect shoplifting at the store. The victim confronted the suspect regarding the stolen items, and the suspects pushed the victim and later bite the victim’s left leg. The victim was able to detain the suspect until police arrive on the scene. The suspect was then placed into custody for Robbery. The suspect complained that his left ribcage was hurting from the loss prevention officer, so SFD arrived on the scene to provide medical attention. AMR transported the suspect to KCJ for booking. The victim declined medical attention.
#2024-301962/Southwest Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1228 hours, several callers reported shots fired at Camp Second Chance (9700 block Meyers WY). Officers arrived to discover the suspect had fired several shots from his tiny home. The victim (Manager) knocked on the suspect’s door to see what was going on and the suspect fired two rounds at her. No one was hit. Officers surrounded the area and locked it down. HNT and SWAT responded. HNT established contact and they were eventually able to convince the suspect to exit his tiny home and surrender. SWAT took him into custody without incident. Patrol took over the scene, obtained a warrant for the firearm used in the crime, served it, and collected the evidence. The suspect was booked into KCJ without incident. 254 and Car 25 were on scene. GVRU was notified after the incident concluded.
#2024-302525/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2300 hours, SW Patrol responded to a report of a male who had knocked on a door claiming to be shot in the 3100 block of SW Elmgrove St. This possible victim fled the scene westbound on foot on SW Elmgrove St prior to police arrival. The scene was located in the 3100 block of SW Elmgrove St where one 9mm FCC was recovered. An extensive area check was conducted on foot and in vehicles, but no victim was located at the time of this SIR. There was no other evidence, property damage or additional victims located at this time. No possible suspect information was available. GVRU was notified in the event a victim showed up.
