#2024-335180/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0304 hours, a stolen vehicle was rammed into Marijuana retailer, located in the 300 Blk of North 36th Street, 4-5 subjects entered the business, altered surveillance system, and stole large quantities of merchandise and fled in silver Lexus, leaving the rammed vehicle abandoned in the street. Screened with Robbery Unit.
#2024-335180/North Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0221 hours, a suspect was being transported to KCJ via AMR, after being arrested for burglary. During the transport, the suspect assaulted the escorting Officer. After going to HMC for a medical decline, the suspect was booked into KCJ for Assault 3 and Burglary.
#2024-335577/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1249 hours, officers responded to a Robbery Call at a local store near Belmont Avenue East/ East Denny Way. Police contacted the suspect and immediately the suspect started to resist the officers. During the struggle, the suspect assaulted an officer. Officers were able to get control of the suspect and place him into custody. The officer and suspect were not injured during the incident. The suspect was booked into KCJ for Assault 3 and a Hazard report was completed.
#2024-335944/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2009 hours, SW Patrol responded to a report of an armed robbery of the restaurant located in Westwood Village. 911 caller reported that the suspect was armed with a screwdriver and had threatened to kill them. The suspect pried a cash box from a freestanding kiosk in the lobby before fleeing on foot. Employees followed the suspect as he fled through a nearby park giving updates to 911 as the suspect attempted to lose them. SW Officers arrived quickly, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. Police recovered the cash box and weapon used during the crime as well as a plethora of burglary tools. Robbery was notified of the incident. The suspect will be evaluated at HMC and once completed he will be booked into KCJ.
