#2024-358574/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1244 hours, officers responded to locate an outside agency stolen vehicle in a secured parking garage. Terminators were deployed as the driver was sleeping. Officers hailed the driver who eventually woke up and hastily drove the vehicle out of the garage. Unfortunately, the door was still down at the time causing significant property damage. Officers followed the vehicle for a couple of blocks at a distance. As the tires deflated, the suspect was unable to drive much further however, he did manage to drive through a SDOT chain-link fence before coming to a stop. The driver ran from the vehicle and a passenger was detained. KCSO K9 assisted in an attempt to track but it was eventually called off. Vehicle recovered.
