2024-360039/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 0051 hours, officers located a vehicle with no plates backed into a parking space near the 2900 block of 29 Av S. As officers exited their vehicle, the suspect jumped into the truck and drove off colliding with the patrol vehicle. The suspect vehicle damaged the push bar and fled the scene. There were no injuries to the officers involved. An area check for the suspect vehicle was negative.
2024-360134/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0550 hours, officers responded to reports of two males seen on camera inside a closed business. Arriving officers set containment on the location. Two officers observed two subjects exit the front of the building. Officers were able to take one suspect into custody and the second ran back into the building. K9 responded and a search of the building was conducted. The second suspect was not located. A firearm was recovered on the in custody suspect and he was subsequently booked into KCJ for investigation of burglary.
2024-360212/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 0855 hours, several callers phoned 911 reporting hearing shots coming from the Magnuson Park, from the boat launch area and several more shots as a couple of vehicles were leaving the park. Several casings were located and submitted into evidence. Area checked negative for the vehicles.
2024-360606/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 0537 hours, officers responded to the 2200 block of South Jackson Street to a 43-year-old man stabbed in an apartment by a 36-year-old male suspect still at the scene. Police arrived and forced entry to the apartment building. Contacted was made with the victim and suspect who were still in the apartment. Police found the victim with two stab wounds, one in the back and the other to the arm. Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department arrived and the man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition. Witnesses said there was an altercation between the two men before the stabbing occurred. The suspect was taken into custody, and a knife was recovered. The victim and suspect were brothers, and the Domestic Violence Unit was contacted. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for investigation of domestic violence 1st degree assault.
2024-360366/North Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1218 hours, officers were dispatched to a shooting call in John Sector. Police interviewed multiple witnesses on scene. The callers provided officers with photos and videos of the suspect vehicle. The vehicle was eventually located nearby the call location, at which point officers detained four occupants of the vehicle. There were shell casings and blood inside the vehicle. Based on the witness interviews and information provided, officers were able to determine which occupant was the alleged shooter. One suspect was placed under arrest for Drive-by shooting. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for an SMC Warrant. Both suspects were successfully booked into the King County Jail. The two female occupants were identified and released from the north precinct. A firearm was not located in the vehicle.
2024-360707/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2030 hours, the victim was driving on S Michigan St. The suspects followed the victim in a Green Subaru 4D vehicle. The victim drove to the 9400 BLK of 15 Ave SW parking lot. Four suspects exited the vehicle. The driver of the suspect vehicle approached the victim and punched him once in the face. The suspect then said, “go back to your country.” The suspects entered the Subaru and left the scene. The victim left the scene and called 911 from an unknown location. 3W responded to the scene. The primary officer checked for witnesses and evidence. The victim spoke mostly Spanish. 213 was notified about the hate crime. All necessary notifications were made.
2024-360672/South Precinct/Third Watch:
At 1945 hours, south precinct officers hear several gun shots coming from just south of the precinct. An extensive area check was conducted; however, no scene or victims were located. Several hours later a victim arrived at Valley Medical Center with a gunshot wound, non-life threatening. He stated it occurred in the Rainier Beach Area. Officers later arrived at Valley and they victim had already been released. The victim was not cooperative with staff and information was limited. Officer thoroughly investigated the call, looking for victim info and phone number and were not able to contact the victim.
