#2025-114/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0125 hours, 0125 hours, a shooting victim arrived at HMC in a white BMW. The adult male sustained a GSW to the foot, which was reported to have occurred in the 1900 block of 1st Ave S. The victim was only able to provide minimal details about the incident. One firearm was recovered. Patrol processed the 1st Ave S scene. GVRU responded to HMC, interviewed the victim, and processed the vehicle.

#2025-120/East Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0128 hours, a shooting victim arrived at HMC in a gold Mercedes. The adult male sustained a critical GSW to the neck and was unable to speak with officers. At this point, it is unknown where the shooting occurred. The Mercedes was impounded to the VPR. GVRU responded to HMC. This incident was screened with the Homicide Unit.

#2025-68/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0025 hours, West Precinct Patrol Officers responded to several calls regarding street takeovers and vehicles doing stunts in the street. Each time Officers responded to confront the offending drivers and vehicles they were met with little resistance and the suspects fled the scene. Officers were able to conduct 1 traffic stop and cite a driver for spectating, contacted other spectators who were parked, and take down the plates of several other involved vehicles. The involved registered owners of those vehicles will be receiving citations in the male per the new Street Racing SMC.

#2025-240/South Precinct/First Watch:

At 0455 hours, 911 received calls of two cars shooting at each other in a parking lot. The caller stated there were 40-50 shots fired and that they heard automatic fire as well. The involved vehicles fled southbound.

#2025-246/South Precinct/First Watch:

At 0509 hours, 911 received multiple calls of 10-15 shots heard in the area of S Dakota ST & S Adams ST.

#2025-230/West Precinct/First Watch:

At 0422 hours, Officers responded to reports of a male shot and vomiting blood. Upon arrival they located the victim who sustained a non-life threatening GSW to his upper right arm. The victim stated the shooting occurred a few blocks away at a hotel. AMR transported the victim to HMC. Officers responded to the Level Hotel and located 62 shell casings. GVRU was notified and determined that patrol would process the scene. Photos were taken and the casing collected. Officers walked the route that the victim ran and located his personal items to include a loaded 9mm Glock which was registered to the victim. All evidence was collected and submitted.

#2025-660/East Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1743 hours, Officers responded to a Hate Crime Call in the area of E Olive Wy / Broadway E. The victim and his partner were exciting a local grocery store and was approached by an unknown male suspect. The suspect made a racial statement towards the victim and then assaulted the victim. The victim felt that the suspect was targeting because of his race. Officers checked the area but could not locate the suspect. Officers were instructed to do a thorough investigation. An “Alert Email” was sent to Homicide, Bias Crime Coordinator, and the Violent Crime Capt.

#2025-842/North Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2206 hours, a suspect was arrested for felony threats. While in a holding cell, the suspect assaulted an Officer. There were no injuries. The suspect was booked into KCJ for the felony threats and Assault 3.

#2025-541/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1445 hours, the suspect threatened to kill the victim. The victim was afraid and believed they were targeted because of their protected class. The suspect was arrested. This incident was screened by the Acting LT. An alert email was sent.
