Seattle police officers arrested a 21-year-old suspect following anti-narcotics operations in Downtown Seattle last night.
At about 8:45 p.m., officers observed a man performing a hand-to-hand transaction consistent with drug dealing. The suspect fled when they attempted to arrest him, and a foot chase ensued. While running he was seen throwing away suspected drug evidence.
When officers caught the suspect at 3rd Avenue and Pike Street they arrested him. Police recovered:
- 7 grams Fentanyl powder
- 9.9 grams of Fentanyl powder
- 8.1 grams of Fentanyl powder
- $421.75 cash
- folding knife
The suspect was booked into King County Jail for Possession/Sale/Delivery of Synthetic Narcotics and Obstructing a Public Officer.
Detectives with the General Investigations Unit were assigned to this case.
