#2025-68836/West Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1258 hours, there were approximately 250 subjects demonstrating at the Federal Building. They marched from the Federal building to the Federal Courthouse, in the road. The demonstrators had a car brigade. Patrol provided traffic control as the crowd marched. LT was on scene.

#2025-68931/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1612 hours, the RP tracked the stolen car to a location in the U-District. The RP was able to point out to officers and ID the suspect that had been driving the stolen car. The suspect refused to comply when detained, fled on foot, and then fought when caught. Suspect taken into custody after two taser applications. Suspect sustained minor scrapes and abrasions. No officers injured. In addition to possession the stolen vehicle and resisting arrest, the suspect had multiple outstanding felony warrants for processing stolen vehicles and burglary. Screened with FIT. Type-II initiated.

#2025-68931/North Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1612 hours, due to additional information from suspect’s evaluation at HMC, this UoF has been reclassified to Type-III. Type-II investigation terminated. FIT notified and taking over force investigation.

#2025-69379/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:

At 2300 hours, responded to a report of a carjacking that had just occurred at the Westwood Village Shopping Center. The suspects (one armed with a handgun) approached the victims as they were standing outside the vehicle and attempted to pistol whip the driver while suspect #2 simultaneously assaulted the female passenger. The victims complied and the suspects got into the victim vehicle. The vehicle was a newer Acura, and the suspects could not figure out how to shift it into drive. The suspects panicked and fled immediately once they could not manipulate the shifter dial, and the victims managed to maintain possession of their vehicle. Containment was established and KCSO K9 and Guardian One responded to assist. The K9/Helicopter track was unsuccessful, and the suspects were not located at the time of this SIR. 253 and Robbery notified.
