Police Investigating Shooting in Downtown Seattle

Seattle police officers are investigating a shooting in Downtown Seattle last night that injured two people.

On March 13, at about 11:10 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 100 block of South Washington Street.

Police located an adult male victim with a gunshot wound (GSW) to his leg. The Seattle Fire Department treated him on scene, transported him to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) in stable condition.

The shooting scene was located within a parking lot adjacent to a nearby nightclub.

Police determined that a physical altercation between two groups of people escalated into gunfire. Multiple shell casings of different calibers were located. A stolen handgun was recovered from the scene.

A second victim, an adult female, arrived at HMC with three GSWs to her extremities.

Police located an involved vehicle at a residence in Renton and impounded it to the Vehicle Processing Room. No suspects were located, and no arrests have been made at this time.

Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives were notified and will be assigned to this case.
