
Detectives are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred on Wednesday in the Northgate neighborhood.
At about 12:40 p.m. on March 26, officers responded to the 9500 block of Aurora Avenue North after a 60-year-old man reported the robbery. The victim told police he had just left his home when two people confronted him and forced him back inside.
The suspects ransacked the home, stealing various items including his car keys, his mobile phone, and the keys to his apartment. As they left, one suspect held the victim at gunpoint and escorted him outside. The victim managed to break free and run. While fleeing, he heard a single gunshot. No one was injured but a vehicle was struck.
Shortly after, the suspects drove away with possibly a third suspect behind the wheel.
Officers processed the scene for evidence. Robbery detectives have taken over the investigation.
