Seattle police detectives with the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) are investigating a fatality collision on the West Seattle Bridge this evening.
At 8:03 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of a collision on the bridge (westbound) near the Delridge Way Southwest off-ramp. No other vehicles are believed to be involved.
The Seattle Fire Department arrived and pronounced the 42-year-old man deceased at the scene.
Police cordoned off the area until TCIS detectives arrived and processed the collision scene. The circumstances leading up to the crash are under investigation.
Officers impounded the motorcycle from the scene. The King County Medical Examiner took custody of the deceased.
