#2025-84397/West Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0403 hours, officers responded to a reported trespass in the 200 block of 5 AV N. Call updates noted that the suspect had grabbed a pole and was threatening to break down a glass sliding door and began to harass a staff member who had confronted him. Officers contacted the suspect who was none compliant with verbal commands. A brief struggle ensued when officers attempted to take the suspect into custody and type 1 force was used. The suspect was arrested for felony harassment, assault 3 and obstruction. Officers were uninjured and a hazard report was completed. 211 notified.

#2025-84406/South Precinct/Third Watch:

At 0320 hours, officers responded to 38 Ave S and S Benefit St to reports of a shooting. During the investigation officers and detectives learned as the three victims were retrieving a vehicle nearby, a known individual from a nearby home began shooting at them. Two of the victims returned fire. The instigating suspect fled the house and left northbound in a black sedan. No one was injured during the shooting. Officers and detectives located over 20 FCCs at the scene, and the cooperative victim’s firearms were seized as evidence. GVRU responded for interviews and scene processing. The circumstances surrounding this incident are tied to a robbery earlier in the day and remain under investigation.

#2025-84499/West Precinct/First Watch:

At 0810 hours, officers were flagged down about a fire at Westlake Park. The officers observed that two MID signs, attached to metal fencing, were on fire. The flames were extinguished by a park attendant and SFD cleared once notified that the fire was out. There were no credible witnesses at the scene, and it is unknown under what circumstances the fire was set. Officers photographed the scene and canvased for security footage. No damage to any structures or injuries reported. Fire Marshall 5, ABS, and 211 were notified.

#2025-84801/East Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1448 hours, officers responded to a robbery call at a local convenience store located near Broadway and East Pine Street. The caller described the suspect as a male in his 30s, approximately 5’8″ tall, with brown hair, wearing a plaid shirt and blue jeans. The primary officer spoke with the victim, who reported that the suspect was shoplifting inside the store. The suspect then forcefully pushed the victim as he exited the store without paying for the stolen items. Responding officers later observed an individual matching the caller’s description at the intersection of Harvard Avenue and East Denny Way. The officers detained this individual, who was subsequently identified through a field show-up. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into King County Jail for second-degree robbery.

#2025-83647/West Precinct/First Watch:

At 1043 hours, approximately 300 protestors attended a demonstration near a Tesla store in the West Precinct. Patrol monitored the event. No criminal conduct was reported.

#2025-84955/East Precinct/Second Watch:

At 1747hrs, officers swiftly responded to a concerning report of a weapon near a bar at East Pine Street and Crawford Place. A caller alerted authorities about a suspect brandishing a gun outside, provided an excellent description. Upon their arrival, officers identified a person in a nearby vehicle who matched the description. They detained the individual and recovered a firearm.
