#2025-96658/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1300 hours, roughly 30 or more demonstrators protested in front of the Federal Building regarding environmental issues. The group was peaceful and did not occupy the street and left the area at around 1330hrs. 212 was advised.
#2025-96852/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1701 hours, Patrol and CRT officers responded to Freeway Park for a reported robbery. An injured victim gave a description of a suspect that was still at large somewhere in the park. Officers were able to locate the suspect and broadcast that they would be contacting them. One officer then broadcast that they were fighting. A “help the officer” was initiated. The suspect was taken into custody after a taser deployment. 2 Officers were struck by punches and elbows from the suspect. The suspect and officers required no follow-up medical care after SFD arrived on the call. The suspect was booked for robbery and assault 3. A type 2 UOF was completed.
#2025-97210/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2343 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of an armed robbery of a dispensary located on E Republican St. Suspect walked in the front door and brandished a firearm and demanded the employees place money in his bag. Suspect fled the establishment on foot with approx $3000. Containment was set up and KCSO K9 responded. The K9 track was negative for the suspect. None of the store employees were injured. 253 was notified.
