2025-99386/East Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1200 hours, police received a call about a female sitting/standing on the railing of her balcony that was about five stories from the ground. CRT responded with patrol and began establishing communication with the subject. The subject was in crisis and possibly under the influence of a narcotic. HNT responded to the scene and took over communications with the subject. After some time, the subject returned to her apartment and was later taken into custody without incident for further medical evaluation.
2025-99902/East Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2140 hours, two people were walking home when a male in a large SUV started following them near MLK and Dearborn. He followed them before firing 2-5 shots at them from the vehicle. The subjects were unharmed, and a residence was impacted by one of the rounds. Officers recovered evidence and GVRU notified.
#2025-99705/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1750hrs, officers responded W Roy St. for an in-progress burglary and upon arrival, the complainant along with witnesses immediately updated officers that the suspect had fled from the residence and was headed eastbound on foot. Initial responding officers investigated the incident whilst others performed an area check for the suspect. Officers conducted a thorough area check but were unable to locate the suspect as a result. Surveillance footage from a neighbor was obtained and submitted into evidence at the conclusion of the investigation. At approximately 2000hrs, SFD personnel requested assistance with an adult male damaging property in the Queen Anne Arms an apartment complex located at 600 blk 1 AV W. SFD soon after requested an expedited response due to the subject causing destroying the complex’s gas and plumbing lines as well as damaging multiple washers and dryers. Officers arrived, formed a tactical plan, and initiated verbal negotiations with the suspect. Negotiations were successful and the suspect arrested and booked into KCJ on two counts of Burglary 2nd Degree. Surveillance video obtained from the initial burglary confirmed the suspect as the responsible party. As a safety precaution, SFD personnel shut down the apartment’s gas and water lines due to the significant damage caused by the suspect. Puget Sound Energy was requested to the scene to assess the extent of the damage pending a final report.
