2025-104357/North Precinct/First Watch:
At 0518 hours, Officers observed a vehicle stopped in a lane of travel on a city street. The vehicle was stationary through several light cycles. Officers initiated a traffic stop and approached the driver. During contact with the driver, Officers observed in plain view, a large quantity of marijuana and an almost empty bottle of tequila on the passenger seat. Also visible was the butt of a firearm under the driver’s seat. The driver was arrested for suspected DUI and brought to the precinct. Officers applied for and were granted a search warrant for the car which yielded; over 300 grams of marijuana, 33+ grams of fentanyl, 38+ grams of MDMA, 81+ grams of cocaine, a scale, a firearm and several pill bottles with more narcotics. The subject was booked for PWI. Request for DUI charge. 222 notified along with Media.
#2025-104458/West Precinct/First Watch:
At 0915 hours, SFD requested traffic control for a fire at the Cheesecake Factory. Patrol provided traffic and pedestrian control and were relieved by PEOs when the scene had been scaled back. SPD LT was notified of street closures.
#2025-105053/Southwest Precinct/Third Watch:
At 2136 hours, we received multiple calls of shots fired from the area of 30th Ave SW / SW Brandon St. No witnesses to the incident, just heard. Officers checked the surrounding area and located four 9mm shell casings.
#2025-104772/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1602 hours, Officers responded to Sakura-Con 2025 for a juvenile female in crisis running into traffic. When police arrived, the juvenile grasped an officer’s holstered handgun and expressed suicidal intent. The officer retained the weapon and officers took the subject into custody using Type 1 force. No officers were injured. The subject was transported via AMR to Children’s Hospital for involuntary mental health treatment.
