#2025-187540/South Precinct/Third Watch/S2:

At 0132 hours, Fireworks or Shots Call on 4th of July. Officers arrived at S Othello St/Rainer Av S and located multiple shell casings in the roadway. A nearby business sustained 5 impacts to the glass door insert. No witnesses or victims were located. The business across the street may have video footage of the incident. GVRU notified.

#2025-187630/North Precinct/Third Watch/U1:

At 0408 hours, Ofcs responded to a large fire of a fraternity building around 19 AV NE / NE 47 ST to assist SFD. The large building is believed to be a total loss. No injuries were reported. Fire Marshall 5 responded to the scene, determined that a firework was shot at the building and started the fire. UWPD, ABS, and 221 notified.

#2025-187650/South Precinct/First Watch/O1:

At 0456 hours, Officers responded to a fight with a gun at a hookah lounge. Upon arrival security pointed to a fleeing vehicle and stated that the driver pointed a gun directly at them. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle fled and Officers initiated a pursuit. A PIT (pursuit intervention technique) trained Officer PIT’d the vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident. The gun was recovered. The suspect was arrested for Assault 1, Unlawful Possession of Firearm (convicted felon), Reckless Driving, and Eluding police.

#2025-188501/North Precinct/Third Watch/N3:

At 2328 hours, Officers responded to a call of a vehicle blocking the roadway in the area of Aurora Ave N/N 104 St. Officers contacted the driver and immediately suspected he was intoxicated. The driver refused to provide identification and then refused to exit his vehicle. Officers attempted to remove the driver from the vehicle, and he became assaultive. He was eventually taken into custody. One officer sustained minor injuries and was treated at the hospital. Suspect was booked for investigation of Assault 3 after being processed for DUI.
