Seattle police are investigating a shooting that seriously injured a 39-year-old man late Sunday night in the North Queen Anne neighborhood.
At 10:08 p.m., a caller reported gunfire near 9 Nickerson Street. Officers arrived, found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds, and provided lifesaving aid. Seattle Fire Department arrived and transported him to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Officers learned the victim had been arguing with occupants of a parked white sedan shortly before the shooting. During the altercation, two individuals shot the victim. The suspects then fled the scene in the vehicle. Police searched the area but could not locate the suspects or the car.
Detectives from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit are leading the investigation and continue working to determine what led up to the shooting.
