Seattle Police detectives and the SWAT team arrested a 28-year-old man for a shooting at the Northgate Transit Center that left a man critically injured on July 28.
Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim died from his injuries on July 29 at Harborview Medical Center.
On July 30, Homicide Unit detectives and SPD’s SWAT team served a warrant at the suspect’s residence and took him into custody.
Officers booked the suspect into King County Jail for investigation of Murder 1st Degree.

Detectives Investigate Shooting in Northgate
Seattle Police detectives are investigating a shooting in Northgate that critically injured a man Monday morning.
At 7:40 a.m., multiple callers reported a shooting in the 10200 block of 1st Avenue Northeast at Northgate Transit Center. Officers arrived and found a 48-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head. Officers provided emergency aid until Seattle Fire Department arrived. The victim was then transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
Homicide detectives are working to identify the suspects and determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
