#2025-224017/West Precinct/Second Watch:
At 1300 hours, the suspect involved in multiple reckless driving incidents and eluding crimes, including striking both police and fire vehicles this past weekend, was successfully taken into custody. A firearm was recovered post arrest. The arrest followed a thorough investigation, in close coordination with the Kent Police Department for a similar incident occurring in their jurisdiction. Their collaborative efforts culminated in the suspect’s apprehension without further incident. Combined charges will be sent to the KCPAO for multiple felony investigations-including eluding and felony assault charges.
#2025-224662/West Precinct/Third Watch/K3:
At 2258 hours, West Precinct Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of South Main Street to investigate a reported assault. When officers arrived, they located a male victim bleeding from the head. It was determined that a robbery had taken place, and four individuals had stolen property stolen. The witness provided a description of the suspects, and shortly thereafter backing officers arriving in the area and located suspects matching the description provided. Three suspects were detained, and a 4th was later determined to have not participated in the robbery. The three detained suspects were arrested for robbery. Additionally, one of the suspects was seen on camera returning to the victim once the robbery had concluded, subsequently kicking him in the head. This suspect was additionally charged with assault 2.
