At 0300 hours, several calls came in about shots heard and a vehicle speeding away. Officers arrived in the area and were flagged down by a security guard showing video of casings on the ground in a parking area of a newly constructed townhouse complex. The security guard led officers to the location in his vehicle and parked over the scene, exited the vehicle and gestured with his hands that the evidence was all around him. Officers processed the scene, by locating, photographing, and collecting evidence. No property damage observed, townhouses were vacant. GVRU notified.

At 1115 hours, officers responded to 500 block 3rd Avenue for reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, the victim was located outside with a laceration to her left hand. PC was established for assault 1. Police contacted staff and reviewed footage that showed the suspect was still in her unit. Officers attempted contact at the unit and the suspect refused to comply. The suspect barricaded herself inside the unit. HNT was on scene and ultimately SWAT was called to assist. After numerous attempts, entry was made by SWAT, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was subsequently transported and booked into KCJ for investigation of Assault 1st degree. MEDIA and units 271 and 224 were on scene.

At 1611 hours, multiple calls to 911 reporting 5-6+ shots fired at the Rainier Playfield. Large patrol response to search for the suspect. Suspect last seen eastbound. Four area schools and a community center were locked down. Police established containment and K-9 was requested, arrived and conducted a track, but no suspect was located. Evidence was recovered.

At 2118 hours, multiple reports of shots fired in the area, a homeowner reported that a window in their home had sustained bullet damage. Officers responded to find that the bullet had penetrated the first pane of the window, but not the second and no occupants of the house were injured. The scene of the shots fired was found by officers inside Westcrest Park. Evidence was recovered and located damage to a shed inside the park. Incident was screened with GVRU.
