At 1920 hours, Officers were dispatched to an armed carjacking at the intersection of Yale Av N / Thomas St. A citizen observed two unknown males armed with firearms attempted to steal their friend’s vehicle at the location. The citizen called police to report the theft in progress while confronting the suspects, which lead to a brief confrontation. The suspects then fled in a silver Kia. An area check was conducted for the suspects, however resulted negative.

At 0511 hours, a citizen reported his van was taken from the gas station in the 13000 block of Lake City Way NE. The victim, who was intoxicated, told officers he had left his vehicle keys in his van as he went toward the store. An unknown W/M held a gun in the air as another suspect entered the victim’s van and drove away. The van was later recovered after being involved in two commercial burglaries in the area.
