At 1145 hours, A suspect was passing the fenced playground area of a daycare. The suspect was seen whistling at and attempting to lure a 3-year-old child to the fence line. A witness observed this, intervened and called 911. The suspect left but was located a short distance away at grocery store where he was causing another disturbance. Officers contacted and detained the suspect at which time evidence suggested that the luring incident was sexually motivated. The suspect was arrested and booked into KCJ for investigation of child luring.

At 1921hours, officers assigned to the DAT cleanup were flagged down by a security officer who told them the male they were speaking to minutes earlier threatened him with a handgun. Officers utilized the RTCC to locate the suspect. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody without incident. Two handguns were recovered and the bag the suspect was wearing. The suspect was found to be a convicted felon. The suspect was booked into King County Jail for Felony Harassment and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.

At 2203 hours, a porta potty that was near an apartment building burst into flames at the 9000 BLK of 20 Ave SW. The Porta Potty became engulfed in flames and the fire spread to a truck and an apartment building. The apartment building was evacuated. The damage done to the truck and apartment building was extensive. No injuries were reported from the fire. FM5 investigated the incident and determined that the fire was suspicious. ABS was notified about the incident.

At 1200 hours, GIU and East Patrol conducted a retail theft operation at the QFC located at 1401 Broadway. There were 3 arrests and several deterred thefts.
