#2025-293140/East Precinct/Third Watch/G1:
At 0151 hours, victim was walking her service dog at 11 Av /E Fir St when the suspect came up behind the victim and pushed her to the ground by the back of her neck and low back causing her to fall onto her service dog. The suspect put a gun to her head and told her she could keep the dog but to empty her pockets. The victim complied with the demands and removed the contents from her pockets. The suspect then pushed the victim’s head into the ground and fled on foot possibly westbound. Medics responded to evaluate the victim. Area check made for the suspect with negative results.
#2025-293608/East Precinct/Second Watch/C3:
At 1245 hours, a nearby resident, who was intoxicated, became upset about students parking in the area. He approached the school and forcefully pushed past the security guard in order to speak with the principal that was inside the school. The principal ordered the suspect to leave the school, so the suspect exited the school and walked away. Afterward, the suspect walked to E Pike St near 16 Av and pointed a gun at a student sitting inside a vehicle. Officers arrested the suspect for burglary and Felony Assault in the second degree. The incident was reported to Car 24 and Media. No weapon had been recovered at this time, and we are currently seeking a warrant to search the suspect’s residence in an effort to locate the firearm. The suspect was booked into KCJ.
#2025-294082/South Precinct/Third Watch/R1:
At 2154 hours, Officers responded to a shots-fired call near the intersection of 25 Av S/Cheasty BLVD S. Officers located shell casings on the side of the road. GVRU was notified. There were no injuries, and no property damage was located.
#2025-294053/North Precinct/Third Watch/L1:
At 2035 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of a DV disturbance. Call remarks included the following information: CALLER CRYING SAYING ‘HE IS CHOKING ME’ CONFIRMED HUSBAND STRANGLED HER. SUSP STILL INSIDE. NO WEAPONS. Officers arrived to a lockout building and were unable to gain access. Call updates included the following: (M)INFO COMING SLOWLY, TRYING TO GET RP TO SEPARATE. SUSP WON’T GIVE OVER HER SON, (M)CALLER SAYS SHE CAN LET THEM IN. HEARD A LOUD CRASH NOISE. SUSP HAS RP’S PHONE, (M)RP SAID SHE COULD COME DOWN TO MEET OFCRS, CRIED OUT AND LINE DISCONNECTED AGAIN. After updates were made, officers decided to make exigent entry into the building by breaking an exterior window. While breaking the window with a metal entry tool and wearing gloves, the officer had two fingers lacerated by the broken glass. The suspect was taken into custody for felony DV assault and the officers’ fingers were treated on scene by SFD and later received stitches at the hospital.
